OnePAM initiative is a deep integration of PAM application and PAM Server Control functionalities to become the most comprehensive privileged access management solution for the enterprise. PAMSC was integrated with PAM, the goal is to achieve greater defense in depth by combining Network based Security which PAM provides along with Host based security which PAM Sever Control provides.
PAMSC to PAM Migration

As part of this phase, the data from PAMSC is to be migrated to PAM, which includes migration of Server Control Policies, devices, device groups, device deployments, device group deployments and deployment audit data. In order to achieve the migration of data, a utility called Migration Utility was built. The utility first extracts all the CA PIM/PAMSC data to the given Staging directory into JSON data format files, translates the extracted JSON data into PAM compatible database format and migrates it to the PAM database. Migration process is done in five stages extraction, validation, back up of PAM database (In case of any failure in migration, we can revert back the PAM to original State), Migration to PAM and Finish.
